I know. It’s fabulous. I didn’t think I’d be able to run for 25 mins and now I’ve done it 3 times. It definitely is a great feeling. Let’s keep it going. 💪👍👏

Yes, well done 👍- I completed the same run on Friday too. It was a great feeling hearing Laura say "You're a runner now". Looks like week 7 is just more of same again. Roll on Monday, I know I can do it now.

I remember that feeling of just having run 25 min. Actually I didn’t feel as happy as that even when I completed week 9. Just because 25 seemed like such a bug jump and I was sure I couldn’t do it.

Well done and enjoy! It only gets better and better from here!

I did week 6 run 3 on Wednesday as I'm a bit out of sync so repeated it yesterday. Wasn't sure I could but thought it was work a try and I did it. Slow and steady is my pace picking up a little at the end. Always seem to attract the rain though!

Well done to everyone else hitting 25 mins!

Well done! On Thursday just gone I too got to the end of week 6 like you’ve just done. Seeing the term “runner” show up on the app was something I didn’t think was ever that relatable to me! About to start on the last three weeks now and aiming to not only do 30 minutes times but to improve my pace too. Hopefully you’ll go on from strength to strength too! 🏃‍♀️

Well done! I have my first 25min run in the morning, I’m really looking forward to it.

Good Luck! My top tip would be to pace yourself, and try to think about other things and it’ll fly by 😊🏃🏼‍♀️

Well done, I know exacy how you feel! I just did this 25 minute run today and after a week with energy levels a sloth could compete with 🦥, I felt a bit apprehensive, particularly as I struggled a little with the second block of 10 minutes in run 2 this week and had to take an extra day off between run 1 and 2. Before I went out, I read some of the comments you and others wrote about completing this 'mile stone' run to rev me up for this run and I did it! I find everyone's comments and similar experiences here really supportive and encouraging, particularly on those low energy, no motivation days. I always seem to struggle with the last 2 minutes in each longer run (must be a psychological thing), but I paced myself right, I even got the same split for each km! Onwards and upwards next week I hope!

This is so amazing to hear! Congratulations, you’re a runner now!!

Well done! It's amazing isn't it? 3 months ago I 'dipped my toe' in jogging again, didn't really believe I'd be able to let alone want to...and now I'm hooked! Wishing you all the best for your running future!😉😆

Congratulations! Any tips for the longer runs? Is it better to try a different route, change of scenery? I run round a cricket ground and 5 circuits is a round 20 mins but wondering if I should try something new just to get rid of that feeling if I need to go round x times?

simplymerissa profile image
simplymerissa in reply toSzam

Yes, I’d definitely try and find a longer route, I go to a large local park and 1 lap around takes me about 12 minutes, so for the 25 minute runs I only

do about 2 laps! This definitely helps me, and also having the nice scenery to take my mind off of the fact I’m running. Also listening to music helps me immensely, I listen to a running mix on spotify (pace of songs are sped up) and this helps me bc I have a little sing along or can run to the pace. I didn’t start listening to music until my longer runs and it definitely helped. 🥰

Szam profile image
Szam in reply tosimplymerissa

Great, thank you so much. I will try and find a longer route. I listen to the radio as I quite enjoy the conversation in between the music. Some people have suggested podcasts too so you’re not thinking about the time it takes for a song to finish! Thanks for the tips and good luck with the remainder. I’m a run behind, just completed week 6, run 2
