Now that I’m halfway through, I’m thinking it might be time to treat myself to some better quality footwear - I’ve been wearing my old trainers. I live on an island so I’ll be buying online. Any advice in terms of make etc would be gratefully received. 🙂

Running shoes advice
Here’s a site that offers online gait analysis, which may well be your best option living on an island... they also have some pretty good deals on shoes most of the time. sportsshoes.com/gait-analysis/
I have brooks, very good they are and when you see/feel the difference, you will be amazed. Don't forget to share the new additions once they arrive!

Brooks, Hoka and some of the others will let you try your shoes for 30 days and send them back if you don’t get on with them, you can go running in them to test them properly, they will still take them back if you need to try something different
I bought Brooks Ghost after week 6, and went up a full size - I think up-sizing is somewhere in the advice. I had bought some Nike trainers in a sale to start off with, and the Brooks are much better cushioned and after a couple of weeks wearing them would say they are much more comfortable. Really like them. In the shop, they asked about distance I aim to be running (ha ha!!) and terrain, as that influences the best shoe. Hope this helps. Happy running 🏃♀️
