Running shoes advice?

Hi, I’ve completed couch to 5k and am now training for a half marathon. I’ve been told I need a neutral running shoe and looking to invest.

Would this be an appropriate choice?

Super lost - any help would be appreciated :)

Maybe use the shoes you are in to get up to 10K... then as you move on, if the shoes are not still comfortable for your running then go to a recognised Runner's shop.. and get their expert advice...

We are all so different that what is right for one would not be for another.. we all have our preferences...who advised you on the 'neutral' shoe???

Sorry I should’ve mentioned that I did the gait analysis at a sweatshop and they advised the neutral shoe. I was just wondering whether this would hold/is suitable for training for a half?

I’m currently running with the wrong shoes - indoor trainers as I play netball with them 🤦‍♀️

If you are buying them for all further runs. ..then just go to a decent shop and get the shoes recommended, that you feel happy with..a HM is just 21K...you want something to take you there and beyond:)

Your shoes are your best asset next to you:)

They look like a lovely shoe to me (although you never really know for sure until you have done a few miles in them!) Good luck with your training for a HM. Have you thought of entering a 10k or 10 miler along the way too, to give you the race experience? it's good to have a short term challenge too! Also you might want to pop over to the Bridge to 10k forum or the Marathon Running and race support forum - lots of support and advice there!

Hi thank you for your reply!

Yes I tried them on in a shop but were out of my colour preference so just wanted to double check before investing in them for sure.

Yes, I’m signing up to a 10K to give me more experience for sure and will definitely have a look at those forums.

Thank you so much :)
