There are a lot of us who’ve completed C25K today. I’m probably the most amazed of them though! I’ve managed to do every run on the planned days of the week with no stops and no repeats. Who’d have thought?? Certainly not me after the first run when I could barely survive one minute! That was the longest I had run for over 40 years. Coming up to 65 now, and I’m the fittest I’ve been since I left school.
Interestingly, I’m not as elated now as I was after W5R3. Why is that??

Congratulations! W5R3, for even the most confident new runner, looks daunting... when we beat that it’s a huge psychological breakthrough moment... W9R3 can be “just another 30 minute run” so maybe that’s the difference in elation. I was a little emotional after both runs as it happens... I think graduation set me off because my daughter had been refusing to run 30 minutes while I caught up after an injury “we started together and we will finish together” were her words, and we did. W5R3 was emotional all by itself! Celebrate well, enjoy consolidation and all your future running adventures. The current crop of new graduates is larger than usual, go check out the July consolidation club... keep ju-ju- nice and busy!!!
