So inconsiderate

I don’t think work have realised just how much they are inconveniencing me by bringing me back from furlough. I’m really struggling to keep up with all the posts on here now 😂

On another note is it just me or does anyone else, while there out and about and see people running, think to themselves I wonder if that person is on the C25K, or I wonder I’ve actually spoken to that person on the forum? Nope?! Just me?! 😂

Occupational habits of a bus driver, thinking about nonsense to pass the time 😂

I have seen a few runners doing C25K, especially when they stop running and walk, then run again, I met two runners who were on week 3.

Ah-ha! Maybe not. Very slow running with planned walking breaks is how you train for both marathons and ultra marathons. Nobody sprints through 80-160km per week, not even top end pros who run slow from between 50-80% of their training time. So, you could be looking at one of them thinking, hey, here's another newbie! 😉

haha no me too. I pass runners who look like they are a runner, I have my last run of week 9 tomm, but wouldn't yet class myself as a runner, and I sure don't look like one, I'm too slow! Determined to do 5k tomm but it may not be 30 mins.

No such thing as too slow, everyone’s body is different, so pace will always vary. Also slow and steady wins the race 😊

Ha Ha, me too, I want to ask them but obviously don’t.. according to the news over 850k joined this group from April onwards. Amazing!!

Yes, I definitely wonder if other runners I see are doing C25K, especially the ones who are slow, like me 🤣

I’m back working next week and as happy as I am to be back it’s really going to interfere with my running schedule..not happy🤣

Whenever I see someone else running then walking then running I’m always like ooh they’re deffo doing the C25K😂

Not just you Dtay ... seeing those who stop and then walk or vice versa, does have me asking the same question about C25K ! 😄

No its not just you. There are a few people around who I feel may be doing C25K. I really want to be nosy and ask but I just wave and say morning as they run/walk in the opposite direction.

Totally! I passed a lady walking today slightly out of breath and the same colour as me. We laughed at each other and carried on.

Given the news this morning it’s quite likely they’re C25K-ers like us!

You have my sympathy............I am self employed and my work fits around my runs.

At a recent reckoning there were reckoned to 6.8 million runners in the Uk and we know there has been a huge increase since lockdown, so the chances are quite slim that the folk you see are actually doing C25k, but a sizeable proportion of those nearly seven million will have started their running careers with C25k, but they didn't necessarily come onto this forum........the fools, they don't know what they are missing.

I am fortunate enough to have an incredibly supportive employer that really cares for the physical and mental well being of its employees.

I've been working at home since before official lockdown and we are actively encouraged to take time out for ourselves.

But yes indeed!

This forum is such an incredibly positive environment and I am so glad I found it.

No I see lots of peeps run/walking, slow jogging - just like me 😁

We just nod as we pass like some unspoken acknowledgement of each other...Unspoken fellow c25k-ers?...

Very inconsiderate of your employers - they should definitely allow you time off to keep up with the c25k forum
