Early injury

So after completing week 2 last night I felt great until suddenly, after doing some stretches, I found I couldn't weight bear on my left foot! Then the pain started. After icing and rest it's a bit swollen and red this morning underneath at the bottom of my big toe, still painful, though not as bad, and still having trouble putting weight on it. Oh dear, Google says a sesamoid injury so I may be off to the walk-in centre (ha ha) later. Anyone else suffered with this?

Uggh, how disappointing. I don't have experience of that particular injury, but I did have over 4 months off last year with a metatarsal stress fracture. Hopefully Dr Google is wrong, but if it doesn't improve with rest then a physio consult (even by telephone) is possibly worthwhile. In the meantime, look up Caroline Jordan hurt foot fitness on you tube. She had a sesamoid injury and has developed loads of no impact routines to keep fitness up. Healing vibes coming your way, good luck. You can come back stronger and more determined 🤞😊
