Long term lurker here!! Started c25k about a year ago at the gym on the treadmill and almost graduated but could never quite get past week 8. I had promised someone (much younger, slimmer and fitter) that I would a park run with her so tried running outside and found it very difficult so decided to start again from week 1. Many blisters and a global pandemic later and this morning I finally managed to complete run 3 of week 9 and, boy does it feel good π I have signed up for the great south run in October so will need to increase my distances but then - going to train for it even if they do decide to cancel it.
I never thought I would so it and could have given up so many times but, if I can do it anyone can!!

Well done on graduating, go over to the pinned post and get your graduate badge.
I had exactly the same issue when trying to run outside after running on the treadmill for a couple of years, I couldn't pace myself, I'd gotten so used to the treadmill doing that for me.
My wife started C25K and did a mix of treadmill and outdoor running, so I tagged along with her for a couple of weeks, with her being slower than I am it worked out great, not had a pacing issue since (I've not been out for a run since restarting the program earlier this year due to injury).
So glad you finally came out to tell us your wonderful story! πππ» Wow, good on you for doing it all again outside. π Think of all that experience you can share with everyone on here! Congratulations on your graduation! πππββοΈ
