Starting from scratch...again - Great North Solo Run 1

So I graduated 3 years ago and have found it so hard to fit running into a busy life of work and looking after my son. I have thought about running a lot over the time since then and have started again several times but it hadn’t stuck.

Over lockdown I’ve been doing the PE with Joe workouts (not for the faint hearted!) 5 days a week and slowly feeling fitter. I spotted that Great Run created the Great North Run Solo challenge (40 runs over 78 days of any length to celebrate 40 years of the Great North Run) and was inspired so have put on my trainers again and knew Couch to 5K will help me do it.

Run 1 was good - the workouts have helped. I felt ok and not too exhausted and it was nice to be out running along my local coastline again. I was even treated to a lovely sunset.
