Carry on running!

Today I went on my first run since I completed C25K almost a week after! I decided to go on a different route and ran on a flat route in some fields near me, I twisted my ankle about 2k into the run and had to turn back, definitely prefer running in the woods!

Oh no. Lots of ice and elevation. Woods are the way to go. Trees and birds all the way. Happy recovery

Oh no, that sounds painful 😳 How unlucky, hope it's nothing serious. The only time I've tried running in the woods I tripped over a tree root and ended up flat on the ground covered in pine needles. Luckily they softened the fall and I could finish my run but I've never tried it again! Wishing you a speedy recovery 🤞👣

What rotten luck. Poor you. Yes definitely RICE as I have had several sprained ankles in my time. Not running related but horrid nonetheless And don’t run again till it’s definitely better. I did nasty damage walking on an unhelaed sprained ankle many years ago and ended up having an ankle arthroscopy operation. Not nice.

Take care.

Oh too bad that's tough! Poor you 😢

I run in woodland but steer clear of venturing out into the surrounding fields. The ground gets pretty cut up and rutted in wet weather and then bakes solid in the summer. I love walking across the fields but it would be way too easy to turn an ankle whilst running.

Hope the ankle improves soon
