Hi, I’ve been so impressed with my stamina build up, that I continue running afterward Jo tells me to stop. (Of course I still leave enough distance for my 5 minute cool down walk). Is this a good or a bad thing? Wondered whether I should be doing it exactly as it says as it’s tried and tested? I just still feel that I have at least another 10 minutes of jogging/walking in my tank.

I always felt like this as well but always stuck to the plan until the very last run. I think nobody knows your body like you do. As long as you’re resting, hydrating, stretching as you should and you are comfortable when running further, I don’t see the harm 😊

I agree with #Dtay1978 if you feel fine and do cool down as you should etc then go for it 🙂

Well done.
Injury strikes out of the blue, often when you are feeling good and pushing the boundaries a bit, so why take the risk of not running for days, weeks or even months, when you know the plan works.
We are all capable of doing way more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without increasing our injury risk. Sticking to gently progressive training plans is the safest way to push our limits, whilst gently increasing our resistance to injury.
You might get away with it.......you might not.
