I'm definitely glad I went early as by the time I got back from my run it was already 20 degrees (feels like 23 according to BBC weather!) I took everyones advice from my last post and hydrated as much as I physically could yesterday, and had my usual glass of water before I left. I forgot my ice cold towel which was slightly irritating but because I was hydrated enough it wasn't a necessity - would have been nice though! π
I wasn't focused on pace or anything like that today because of the heat, but ended up doing an average of 8'58"/km (2 seconds more than the last run) which I was surprised about as I felt like I was being slower than I was, so must have got into my stride after the toxic ten. Decided to try the incline that I struggled with in Week 6 and found it a lot easier today, dare to say almost pleasurable - wanted to try to run on more grass today to ease the impact on my knees rather than running on concrete and it's just nice to change the route up a bit sometimes!
It feels really weird that I will be graduating in 8 runs time - don't know what I'm going to do without Sanjeev in my ear!!
