I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the advice... I redid week 7 run 2 on a different route this morning. It turned out it was my route that was the problem. This time it was beautiful: blue skies, wildlife, birds rustling in the hedges, two foxes refusing to budge, and the sea...
Also I was there FIRST, so when all the fit looking people started showing up, and doing their warm up walks faster than I was jogging, I just grinned at them confidently as they had arrived late!
The only negatives were that I didnt really sleep, and I hadn't planned the route very well and the last bit is shingle, which brought my plodding speed down even further, and meant I stopped once just before the end to check my phone, when I need not have. (Only for seconds, but I'm determined to run/jog without stopping within the allotted times). So I think for me, I need to route plan, and once I've run/jogged a route once, then I feel I can run it and know where my cognitive markers are for completing the 25 minute run without stopping at all. Does anyone else feel you need to know your route in the same way?
I'm going to do an amended version of the route on Wednesday, only minus the shingle, and then it's possible that's week 7 sorted!!!! I felt SO HAPPY walking back and this feels like the best start to a working week ever! πππ Thank you again to everyone, you're all amazing π
