I managed to complete r3w4. At the start of w4 my left knee started to hurt, more to the inside. I tried to run r1w5 after 2 days rest. Too painful. I haven’t run at all now for 5 days. I’ve gone out waking to try and ease it off.
I’m going to continue the walking and do strengthening exercises to build up the muscles round my knee area. It sounds like Runner’s knee from what I’ve read. Doing the RICE after my waking, still sore. I’ll keep going because I’m determined to run 5k as soon as the knee will let me

Sorry to read this, and yes... sounds like runners knee. You’re doing the right things, but if it persists it will need checking out medically. Once the pain has gone, have a look at the strengthening work (linked in the guide healthunlocked.com/couchto5... as this will really help going forwards.
