DECISIONS, DECISIONS.....

After seeing that I'd run 4.9k eleven days ago I decided that I defo needed to get myself a decent watch so that I could 'at a glance' check my distance and time. If I'd just run a few more minutes it would've been 5k - this has happened more than once. So the hunt for the perfect watch was on. I went back to a post from WillowandSola which I swear was miles long. I saw all the recommendations by fellow runners and then went on and investigated them all (at great length) This, I have to admit took hours. It's a good job I don't sleep well - it gave me a chance to watch all those reviews courtesy of YouTube in the middle of the night. No running for me - I was shattered by the time I got up in the morning. I whittled it down to two and decided on the cheapest 🀣 Mainly because the more expensive one had stuff on there that I would probably never use. So my Vivoactive 3 arrived and just like WillowandSola - I love it! I'm sure I still haven't seen what it can really do but the fact that yesterday when I went out for my run I could just look at my watch and see how far and how long I'd been going was an absolute delight. I still carry my phone in my Flipbelt and listen to my podcasts from there. I didn't want to spend loads of time downloading music - I already spend way too much time on my phone/gadgets anyway, Lockdown has made me realise that I want to spend more time in the here and now.

I also decided that I was going to try and run more frequently. That decision has already been squashed however. I fell over in the garden an hour ago. Currently sitting with my leg up and an ice pack on my ankle. No run for me tomorrow. Oh well! More time to get acquainted with my new purchase!

Sorry about your fall in the garden 59er, you now will have to rest until your ankle has healed, in the meantime you can get as you say acquaintd with your new purchase.

Unfortunately AlMorr you're right and I do hate to sit still! I feel a sedentary 'job' coming on. And so to the 'office' - shredding paperwork- such a satisfying job! πŸ™‚ I'm beginning to master my new acquisition - if only I could run!

It won't be long before you can get back to running, be patient.

Thank you for your wise words. Ice pack administered and I've even had breakfast in bed this morning πŸ˜‰
