Completed week 1 Run 2 last night, wasn't sure how it would go as my legs were still hurting from my 1st run on monday but i took it slow and after about 10 mins they felt fine. Still found it hard but managed to finish it so im happy. π

Well done, I find that My legs are better if I leave 2 days rest instead of 1. Just a thought
Well done.
Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow, as recommended in the guide to the plan.
Well done for keeping going... I had hurty knees for the first couple of weeks, but now, amazingly, have just completed week 5 and my knees feel fine - they've got over the shock of me running ππ Keep it up, you'll learn to love it I'm sure!
Well done! It was raining last night and the ground is wet. I'm not sure how this will affect my run. I'm goin in a couple of hours since I've just had brekky. Shins are still alittle sore so will take it easy at the start too. Plus I'm thinking about pausing the run after the 5min warm up and doing some stretches first before actually starting the walking part?
I've also been looking up how to run slowly. This is where I went wrong with run1. I didn't realise it was an actual thing? Lol. Hopefully will help me complete todays run 2.
Just got back. It was raining lightly and was surprised at how empty the park was. Thankfully I managed to complete run 2 properly. I was consciously controlling the speed of my run phases and trying to run on the ball of my feet rather than heel or toes which is very difficult when your trying to jog slowly!
