Shambles!

Last run of week 8 and got caught out in the torrential rain and lightning 😭 got to about 18 minutes and had to stop and take cover in a bus shelter. Fuming. First run I've not been able to finish so feeling a bit meh BUT fully aware that I've still managed 18 minutes non stop running which is still a huge step forward from 8 weeks ago.

Really struggling with week 8 from a mental positive energy perspective. Blaming the humidity for making this week feel so much harder.

Onwards!

Well, look at it this way... the only thing that stops you running now is an electrical storm. Much as I love the rain, there’s no way I’d run in that. You’re right about the humidity too, that and heat are a terrible combination as they inhibit our cooling systems. Not a lot we can do about it... except of course we can be damn proud of how well we deal with these tough weeks! Very good job.

Haha that's a fantastic way to think about it! Cheers! :)

You got out there you can't help the weather, you will do it next time.

I got caught out in the rain yesterday too, thought I'd enjoy it more but if anything it was putting me off my rhythm and my posture and all that.... Good job on getting to 18minutes though!

Unlucky. It happens sometimes. You did the right thing by stopping and there's always another day. You'll nail it next time...😁👍

That’s bad luck! Though not much you could have done about it. The rain/thunder today has been crazy. I ran early today, so managed to avoid it. Stay positive, and I’m sure you’ll get it done next time! Good luck!!
