New shoes

So, i had my gait analysis, and turns out i'm not a neutral after all and looking at the video it is quite obvious .

i need a medium support , so tried 3 different makes and to be honest it was quite obvious which ones were better for me .

i had gone into the shop thinking i wanted a pair of Brooks.

i know i know, not really the way to do it.

But it didn't take me long to decide to buy a pair of 'Saucony Guide 13's'

they are an amazing feel straight out of the box, like they had just been made for me.

Don't think i ever want to take them off haha

so glad i waited and had the analysis done .

Bring on week 4 tomorrow !!! 😁

I’ll be at the same point as you tomorrow, my run was postponed today. My partner took a half day off as a surprise and we went out with the dog for a long walk, just got back in after having a well earned big dinner. Tomorrow it will have to be! Good luck for your morning run

Haha, we were on the same days before my old trainers fell apart 😂

Ah well a couple of days off sometimes is fine 😁

My only fear tomorrow is the weather forecast .

Dont want to get my new shoes wet haha 😂

Looking good in the morning where I am, I might have to go for a morning run as the afternoon forecast is thunderstorms.

You’ll have to get them wet at some point, no time like the present 🤣

Just out of curiosity how much did it cost to get the gait analysis and were the trainers expensive?

Interested in getting mine done and I’m just curious

They don't charge for gait analysis, but they don't discount the trainer's .

I could have got them a bit cheaper online and yes, quite expensive

Good luck with the new shoes! It’s an amazing feeling isn’t it? I wear the same make too, and love them.

I had good intentions a few years ago and went to the running shop and had the best experience with knowledge staff. I would be interested however to see if I am still in the right shoes after gaining some weight and now running outside.

I wish mine were black like yours, they will look cleaner for longer, mine are pale and will soon be so dirty!

I also found very helpful and knowledgeable staff in the running shop !

They didn't try and sell me the shoes , the shoes sold themselves.

But yes, I guess things can change over time , could be worth another gait analysis perhaps.

I will be off out soon in mine for the first time 😬
