Just completed Week 8 run 3. I actually ran for 30 mins in all as it’s comfy downhill at the end. I ran only 4.08k which means an extra 7.5 minutes to get to 5K. That seems a bit daunting. Am I really slow? Do you get faster in time? I was impressed with my progress but this is putting a damper on my enthusiasm.

Woah there! This is all about time, and you’re doing great! Pace matters later, if you want it to. To set your mind at ease, somewhere around 10% of people achieve 5k by the end of the plan... I didn’t, and I’m proud of it. Over time you’ll develop different paces... but your conversational one will remain your best mate... that’s the one that drives the fitness up... and so the slower run is the key to unlocking the faster ones. Over the next few weeks and months your comfortable pace will almost certainly rise all by itself, you won really feel it, but comparing your runs now to in 3-6 months will show it.
Anyways, that’s for later... great job on the run... it’s time for your victory lap... enjoy every step of every run.
Congrats!!! Most people don't run 5k in 30 minutes as I'm seeing from all the posts. They've just named it couch to 5k. You'll get there!!!

Well done! I finished W8 yesterday too, in some ways my favourite 'week'. It was my fastest run so far. Just a natural progression. I'm just letting it flow.
