Only one run left till I graduate, I cannot believe how far I’ve come! A massive thankyou to this forum with every question asked and all the replies - your help has been inspiring! I started this not expecting to get halfway - overweight, unfit, knee op and hyper mobility, I’ve listened to the advice and followed the plan and not injured myself once which was my worry, I’ve repeated runs if I struggled. Only lost a couple of pounds so far but am confident that will continue with my continued runs - but developed a cracking pair of collarbones!😂 onwards and upwards!
Finish line is in sight! : Only one run left... - Couch to 5K
Finish line is in sight!
Good luck to you for your graduation run, take it slowly 🏃♀️.
Well done!
I'm on the same run as you, looking forward to graduating!
I've started to measure myself to see if I'm losing inches.
I'll be hoping for cooler weather for my graduation run on Monday!
Monday will be my last one too! Actually looking forward to it 😁 I only measured my waist when I started and I’ve lost 3 inches! The weight loss seems to have started at the shoulders and slowly working it’s way down!
Absolutely wonderful to be reading about your journey and how far you’ve come... and wow, collarbones! Have the most amazing graduation run.
Thanks! Slowly losing weight from the top downwards! The advice on here has honestly been brilliant, I’ve read other people’s questions and understood the advice being given, I actually enjoy running slowly!
Me too... when we went into lockdown I had to drop to one run a week, so took that slowly. Then I read a few things a coach was posting before I discovered that walking the dogs was “essential work” and so not my daily exercise. I started a plan to work on my 10k for a few months... it gives me sprint and speed runs, but currently I’m choosing to just run them all easy... as the coach said my “run should be the easiest part of the day right now”. Will almost be upset when things get back to normal 🤣
Slowly losing weight is the way to make sure it stays lost... so easy to find it again on the rapid diets. You’ll reach every goal in good time, there’s never a hurry.
I honestly didn’t think I’d get past week 1! But have surprised myself with how much I’ve enjoyed completing each week, my next goal will be to run 5k - it may take a while 😂 but I don’t mind!getting back to normal seems a very strange thought right now!
You’ll get to any distance that you choose... it’s all about gentle progression. I thought W1R1 was going to kill me... 8 times.
The most important thing is to be enjoying it... that’ll keep you on it, and thus fitter and healthier. Numbers are just a distraction... sometimes fun to chase but otherwise irrelevant.
I will have that badge on Monday!
Ooooh 😬 one sleep then you graduate. You can do it and it will be amazing. Perhaps treat yourself to some trinket to adorn your foncy new collarbones. I have developed calf muscles!
I’m the same stage too, I do my last run tomorrow!
To think I really struggled on the first ever run, I thought there was no way I could complete the program!
Well done to you 👍🏼
I'm about to go on my last run- well my last run of the programme as I fully intend to keep going and like you, build up to 5k next. Feeling strangely nervous and excited all at once! Still so amazed that I've got to this point 🤭 Good luck to all of you on here with your final runs, we've got this!! 🤩
Well done you, with any luck I shall graduate tomorrow too and just like everyone else I am amazed not so much that I've stuck at it as amazed I can do it, an exercise in both mental and physical training, enjoy !
Well done Mrs-pickles. Keep going and enjoy the last run. Consolidation runs to follow. 👣
Yay!!!!! Good luck with the last...
See you all in Graduation the class of June 20 🤗🥳
