W8 R2- Icing on the cake

Gave myself a longer break between runs this week as I’ve been feeling a little icky and am struggling to eat.

However I decided I had waited long enough and it was time to do the next run. It’s starting to feel a little easier each run which is nice! I finally feel like I’m becoming a runner! The rain was very much welcomed In the last 10 minutes, and helped me to push on despite the fact something went wrong with the timer when my headphones died. (I recon I may have run an extra 2 mins accidentally)

The icing on the cake today however, was when a nice gentleman stopped me when I was walking back home to say he had seen me running the other night. He said to keep it up and even suggested I join the local running club the trotters. I did say I’m only new to running but he was adamant that there were other beginners. So maybe I’ll have a look into it.

Sorry to hear that you’re not feeling 100%... and extra kudos for getting out there anyway. If you did run an extra 2, that’s ok, and leaves you in absolutely no doubt that you got this. Running clubs are generally for all levels... many even do C25K or a variant thereof... while I don’t do many group runs, the couple I’ve been on have been lots of fun (possibly because the end at the pub 🤣) if you have the time and inclination to meet more awesome running folk then I’d highly recommend it. Great job out there today... enjoy run 3 and then it’s you’re victory lap.

Well done on completing your run. Like you I've been finding the running easier in week 8, and I've taken more rest days in between. My speed is increasing naturally too (or else it's the music).

Good luck for your last 4 runs.
