W8,R2- the jibber jabber does my head in

I mean I love the jibber jabber hubby a lot but after my lovely clear R1 which I did on Thursday he throw me right out of kilter today.

Firstly I still have incredibly achey calves and I mean they are horrendous at the moment and I keep waking up with terrible cramp, I asked jibber jabber to rub then down for me but quite frankly he was clearly to interested in the cricket on the telly!!

Today’s run was hot and whilst we should have been out by 9:45 we didn’t make it till 11, reasons for delay

1. Jibber jabber in bed

2. Kids on screens

3. Jibber jabber still in bed

4. My deciding to hoover

5. Jibber jabber still in bed

6. Screaming at the kids to turn the sound on their screens down

7. Jibber jabber still in bed

8. Kids lack of desire to get dressed

9. Jibber jabber needs to feed himself

10. Oh apparently it was because I’d not told everyone what the plan was !!!!!

I don’t know about you guys but I find it harder in the heat, I’m not complaining as I love summer but high speed shuffling in the heat is a little tiring plus more people are out and about so I’m always more conscious about the jelly belly !!

I don’t like people running behind me either and jibber jabber kept doing this today which resulted in me stopping a couple of time to tell him to go by.

I focus on how well I’ve done to stick to the plan and get to week 8 rather than focus on anything else during my high speed shuffling and it clearly helped me to pick up pace today too as we went further than ever today.

I’m loving seeing people’s graduation posts and know that in just 4 more runs it will be my time :-)

Keep on shuffling. You are almost there! One reason I prefer early morning runs. Not many people around and to be honest those that are about don't seem to take much notice. Ha ha 🤗

Well done Clare!! Love the post, brought a smile to my face. Good luck with next 4 runs, leading to the podium. :)

I echo the preference for early morning runs. Well done for getting out there despite the obstacles.

On the jelly belly, most people will be too impressed by a runner to even notice. At least that’s what I tell myself when I lug this fuel tank on legs around!

Yeah, they're hard work sometimes. My OH messes about something chronic leading up to go time. Then when he decides it's time he's at the door champing while I'm desperately trying to coordinate the babysitter and 3 running apps. This week he's mostly done my head in by deciding we needed to speed up, despite me repeating all of the advice and slow and steady mantra from this forum. So, now I've aggravated an old ski injury and he's acting surprised. Love him really, but glad to get that off my chest. 🤫
