Anyone had a 3 week break?

So frustrated. I had completed up to w6r3 with ease and was really enjoying it. Then got a really sore calf after my last run so had a few days off with lots of stretching and some walks. Was thinking I would be ready to run again today after a week off and thinking I might just repeat w6r2 to get back into it. Then my husband got a positive COVID test. He’s a hospital doctor and it was a routine test he’s had absolutely no symptoms at all but it means I now need to self isolate for 2 weeks so no running for me. This means I will have had 3 weeks off when I get back to it. Has anyone else had a break like this? Any tips for getting back into running and anything I can do at home so I don’t lose all that hard work from the first few weeks. I was beginning to feel like a proper runner so really gutted about this.

As stated in the guide to the plan, healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running.

After that loss of condition is gradual.

All any of us can do after a lay off is to go out and see what we can comfortably manage, then build back up gently, using C25k or something similar as a guide to weekly increase.
