Curious question - help!

For all of you who are back at work, I find that running helps me in the morning when I've been in lockdown, but sometimes I can be a bit tired out easily by the end of the day (I have breakfast straight after with porridge with fruit on top so I do get some sugar in me) I'm going back to work starting Monday - I've made a schedule on when I'm going to run day wise, but how do you keep your energy throughout the day? I work in a cafe in a wildlife park, so I'm on my feet all of the day and not really allowed to snack during my shifts excluding my break. Any advice would be amazing!!!

I’m not too experienced in running in the morning... I’m also a breakfast after person when I do though. Are you taking on any proteins? They can help with hunger and also energy levels... I tend to feel a little low on energy if I don’t get a little protein fix after a long run... when I do I’m energised first the day.

Maybe protein is what I’m missing then, as I tend to have some at lunch but my main source of protein is dinner, so I’ll have to find something that I can have whilst at work possibly that’s high in protein

I don’t know that it’s the answer to your question... just something I’ve noticed on the odd day... I eat a boiled egg and I’m fine. Others here will have far more insights as they’re regular morning runners.

In my early days of running I will admit that I used to find myself dozing off at morning coffee break, but now it has little, if any, negative effect on me and does indeed set me up for the day.

I don't have any tips apart from keep running regularly and you will probably not even notice the fact that you have run.
