Given that I’d ran 20 mins non stop on my last run, I thought it would be a walk in the park but it wasn’t. My legs were really aching towards the end and in the last couple of minutes my back starting aching which it never has. Despite that, I think I am actually starting to enjoy it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Well done on completing your longest workout to date.........it catches more people out than any other run.

Back ache is quite common if core strength is not up to par, so do planks, bridges etc to build that strength.

It could also be down to impact, so follow the advice in the guide to the plan on minimising impact.

If you search on the forum for week 6 you will see that many people struggle a bit with week 6 run 1, it is the intervals that catch you out! However, things do get better, your body is adjusting and I am sure there is a reason for why week 6 is like this. Well done, you have run for 20 minutes, soon you will be running for 25 minutes! Onwards :)
