This is more of a confession

I’ve been leaving 3-4 days between runs and doing nothing at all in the in between days, like barely leaving the house 😳 . (They did say Couch ...)

I am also repeating the runs 2-3 times and moving up when I feel like they are easier.

Currently stuck in wk6 run 2 .. but aiming to move to r3 v soon.

I’m guessing I’m making this harder on myself but I totally lack motivation on the in-between days. Can anyone relate?

You can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to as you have been, congratulations on completing run 2 of week 6, that is the last run with interval walks and runs, however, I suppose you are thinking, "could I run the third non stop 25 minute run of week 6", you ran run 3 of week 5, so run 3 of week 6 is only 5 minutes longer, take that run slow and steady, once you have completed it you will OFFICIALLY be a runner and you will be very proud of yourself, but don't run it until you feel confident enough to do it. 😊 🏃🏾

I’m a great believer in doing whatever you’re comfortable with 😊

I needed a schedule... alarms... alerts a few minutes after the alarms... notes on the toilet door... running shoes where I had to step over them... and lots of other little ways to push myself through the door. Of course, once the habit was formed I had to do the exact opposite on non running days, my wife even took my running shoes to work with her a couple of times 🤣

As for repeating... it’s your journey... so go speak to your coach... ask yourself why you’re repeating. If you’re finding the run you’re doing tough, that’s cool... if it’s out of fear of the next one, have the coach you kick you up the butt!

Decide when you’re running, force yourself through that door and to the start line... keep doing this until the habit forms.

Yes! And especially very unmotivated the morning of the run. I don't think about running on the days I don't. I don't hang about before running. I force myself out of the door, but quickly. Once on the other side, I know there's no going back and I start the walk, I run and when back home feel good about finishing, getting it under my belt. That feeling cancels out the non-motivation. I don't want to go back to NOT being a runner! Go for it, and taking as many days as you need I'm sure, is the way! Good luck
