First run done!!

I just wanted to post to say I’ve just finished my first run, W1R1, and I feel amazing! I found myself smiling on the last two intervals as I felt so proud of myself especially as I’m not fit in the slightest. I can’t wait to carry on and see where this takes me!

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Keep running, keep smiling.

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome and well done for getting out that door and nailing run 1. 😀 I remember when I did it, I hadn’t sussed out my music at that point and the 60 secs felt so long! 🤣What a difference when I had it on run 2, night and day!Enjoy the start of your adventure! 👍

Are you even human? No one enjoys W1R1, especially not the last few, interminable, never-ending interval repeats (or was that maybe just me?)

Well done, you've got the toughest one of the lot out of the way. Good luck with the rest of the plan. Take it slow, take it steady. Sweat, don't fret...

Haha thank you! I tried to keep the pace to something I could sustain, with the main aim to keep moving! I’m hoping with the next few runs I can push myself that little more with the first one out the way! 😁
