Week 6, R1 - damn!

They really weren’t kidding when they say it can catch you out. This was HARD which in part infuriated me. I felt really positive having completely the 20 minutes straight only a few days ago. It was tough to take that my legs felt like led after 5 minutes this time. My calves are causing havoc again as well as my achillies.

I don’t feel so great looking at the new few runs, hopefully it gets better (and less painful!) I may get some running socks to help with calf blood circulation, does anyone have any experience with these and if they help?

Would love to hear from anyone else who struggled on this run!

Well done! You are on Week 6 👏🏻👏🏻🏃🏻‍♀️👏🏻👏🏻

Give yourself a moment to bask in the glory of that fact!

I had a similar experience, a run that should have been great but felt awful. Not that run but I think earlier on. Make sure you are stretching properly after your runs. It was my upper calves that had me running badly. I make sure to stretch after every run now.

Sometimes your body isn’t in the mood and that’s okay. Hopefully your next run will be better 😍

Yep I also got caught out by that run. I went off far too fast in the first run, because I felt invincible. Then I really struggled the rest of the run.

Well done for finishing it though. Stick with it- I’ve just come back from W8 R2

and that first run of week 6 was the trickiest one for me so far.

Congratulations! Well done on making it here. 🎉

I definitely struggled with this run. The elation of W5R3 went to my head and I think I started too fast and ran out of steam. 😀

Slow it right down, drink plenty and I’m sure you’ll be fine. I’ve just done week 8 run 2 which amazes me. Keep up the great work 👏👍

Had the same issue - for me week 6R1 was the hardest of the lot, and also found 6R2 challenging - but week 7 is a lot better, just about to do 7R3 and both so far gone much better than I thought they would
