So into my second week since graduating! Just run my furthest distance and best pace. I was pushing myself a bit too hard though I think I need to stop trying to race against my previous times! 🤷🏻‍♀️ please excuse my beetroot look 😂

Great job out there, and no need to excuse your post run glow! We all have a set of PB’s... and it’s great to go beat one of them sometimes. The best way to beat my 5k PB though is to pick a date and train towards it... some nice slow runs, a longer run, some intervals, even a few speed sessions. This way you get lots of runs that are well within yourself... and that lessens the chances of injury dramatically as compared to always trying to beat the last run. The other way, as you’re possibly sticking to 3 equal runs in consolidation at the moment, is to run two deliberately slowly, leaving plenty in the tank at the finish lines... they your legs are fresher going into run 3.

I don’t mean any of this to detract from your awesome run... with the above you can have many more of them!

That’s great advice and I’m certainly regretting pushing myself now as my shins are killing me!! My next run I’m going to slow it down and aim to just enjoy it at a comfortable place. 👌🏼

Good run for you today, that pace of 6/47k is really good, you ran 5.54km, excellent 😊 🏃🏾 👍

Thank you my shins are not happy with my run today! Ouchy!

Bravo. On a good run, when things feel great it sometimes hard to stop isn't it :)

Well done - that's amazing. Did you find the jump from doing C25K into post-programme running hard or easy? Some posters have said they've found it hard not having the coach in their ears, exhorting them to keeping going

I’ve found it ok. I use strava and it alerts me at each 1k so that’s my guide to how I’m doing. I also check the time before I go and know if it gets to 30mins I can stop if I wish however so far just kept going until I’ve hit 5k! So far so good anyway 😊

I'm a Strava user too - but I haven't set alerts, so that's a good tip. Good on the pace - that's quite amazing (though I know we're not supposed to think about how fast we're going...)

Lol that’s my trouble racing against pace, net run needs to be slower
