Distance alert?

I’m going to stick around here for a bit because I still haven’t run 5k.

I finished the program running about 4K in 30 minutes, so I am going to try to run 5k in whatever time it takes and carry on from there.

What’s the best way to measure 5k while running? I don’t want to look at my phone all the time. Is there an app that will let me know when I’ve reached 5k?

Most tracking apps can be programmed to deliver notifications at time or distance intervals of your choosing. Certainly Runkeeper can.

Have you read the guide to post c25k running? healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it is full of tips.

Thanks, that’s a great guide. I am very much a newbie to running.

I use the free version of Strava, it will map the run and interrupt your music to tell you each km and your pace. It also saves the runs to a feed so you can look back and compare.

I downloaded Strava a few runs ago, for the 2-month free trial. I will take a look at it in a bit more detail, thanks!
