I feel for you. I am through that now, long gone, but now I cannot get rid of a ring of fat around my middle although I am vegetarian, eat healthy, keep reasonably fit. I have been a keen walker for 40 years and only started C25K in April to try and keep my fitness levels up until I can get back out with my walking group for 10-11 miles or so once a week. I am sure working nights plays havoc with your body clock and eating cycle. Good luck, hope things start to get better for you.
I am a member of the Ramblers, they have groups all over the UK. I am in Northumberland, we are very lucky as we go out in a coach once a week and visit the Scottish Borders, the Lake District, North Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Dales in summer. Unfortunately of course all of this is on hold until it is safe to travel in a group by coach again, who knows when? There are also lots of "meet-up" walking groups which you might find by searching on the internet.
