W5R6 - completed

W5R3 OMG I can’t believe I did it. It was reading everyone’s posts on here that kept me going for this. The first 10 minutes were fine but felt like giving up at the 12-14 minute mark. At 15 minutes it was mind over matter knowing I was almost there. Feel euphoric for getting this dreaded run out of the way. Feel like I can do this now. Roll on Week 6.

Now having ran it, do you still call it "dreaded"?, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊

Definitely a mental ‘dreading’ rather than physical but only with the benefit of hindsight can I say that. Whole body is still tingling...crazy but I want to do it again! Have looked ahead to the remainder of the weeks and am following the plan to the letter. Gonna have my non-running day tomorrow and then back to the interval style for W6R1 on Thursday. Thanks for the feedback....am still buzzing

By all means repeat it if you want to, run 3 of week 6 is as you have noticed, the first of 4/25 minute runs.

Cheers. Am going to stick to this plan as it is really working for me. It really is designed well and surprising how the body can adapt to meet these challenges.

Thank you. I have had a good read. Really good article which has helped me. I think I naturally run with the mid outer aspect of my foot first striking the ground and this seems to work for me but as I continue I think a proper assessment and fit for proper running shoes will be on my list of things to do. No aches or pains yet butt the hardest was my breathing at first but now I seem to have 1 running pace to push myself (quite out of breath) and another slightly slower (to get my breath back) - Getting better each run

I've just come back from W5R3 and I'm with you! I'm so pleased with myself, I was really dreading it but it was so much better than I expected. Totally mind over matter. I love this plan! Well done you x
