Never been one for running but feeling proud that I'm actually doing it and sticking to it.

Thanks. I can't believe that week one I couldn't breath after 60 seconds lol. Now doing 25 mins. Loving it.

Good luck. I feel now week 1 and 2 were harder with stopping and starting. X

Good for you! I'm really pleased you're enjoying yourself.

I don't know how I would have got out of bed during lockdown, if it had not been for C25K. I went for a 'consolidation' run yesterday. I decided I would go as far as I liked, as long as I didn't run for more than about 40 minutes - I would walk the rest. I found paths and a disused railway line that I didn't even know existed and ended up going about 4 and a half miles. I just really enjoyed it - I felt free.

Don't get me wrong - lockdown hasn't been easy for me: two members of my family have died from Covid19. But I really believe that C25K has helped me to stop spiralling negative thoughts. Its given me structure - even just counting the number of steps per breath was helpful. But more than anything, its just been uplifting to be outside.

I’m sorry to hear of your losses SFA but so pleased to hear that C25K has given you purpose. I started it at the beginning of lockdown too and it felt good to be getting out and exercising. I’m a gym class bunny normally and I was desperate not to lose fitness- how wrong I was - I wasn’t running fit at all! 😜but I’ve got one more run to do and then I too will be consolidating. The C25K has kept me sane and made me try something I was adamant I would never do and *whispers* actually enjoy! Looking forward to hearing how your consolidation runs are progressing.

How did you find it? I have the final run of week 5 on Friday 😊

Tbh OK. I struggled the first 5 mins but do on each run, I suppose until I've warmed up.

I could have carried on but needed to get home.

Confuses me how next week the first run goes back down to 8 or 10 mins?

You'll smash it. Good luck
