What went wrong?

I went for my second week 8 run today - I completed it but found it extremely difficult. I completed over 5 minutes of cool down; however, when I was walking for the cool down I was swaying and felt dizzy. Once I got home, I collapsed (couldn’t walk, stand, lift my head up and apparently my eyes were rolling to the back of my head). This was then followed by vomiting. I am unable to recall the actual run itself and have no idea where I ran, and I am unable to recall everything that happened when I got home. I was unable to walk and had vertigo and confusion for up to an hour after this run.

I ate porridge around an hour before the run and have had plenty to drink. Does anyone know what happened/have any tips on preventing this from happening again?

I hope your OK now? I’am just being myself so I don’t know what was going on for you, but it sounds horrible.

I’m still feeling rough but nowhere near as bad as I was before - think I’ll speak to my gp as it was such an unusual event for me.

That sounds awful, hope you're feeling better. I'm afraid I've no advice but it sounds like you should take it easy for a few days and perhaps speak to your GP, just to be on the safe side.

Thanks, I’m still not 100% but I’m a lot better than I was. Yes I think you’re right, I’m going to call my go and speak to them about it.

Sounds like you should consult your GP if it recurs.

Try running slower.

I can’t really remember the actual run; however, I’m pretty sure I was running extremely slow. I’ll speak to my gp to be on the safe side.
