well still progressing , another endurance test but kept going but wanted to stop in 2 separate occasions !! Heavy legs but trying to include the tips on leaning , arms and breathing not always successfully or consistently !
But got there ! Still no pleasure in running disappointingly!

No runs on C25K are a "endurance test" you make it sound like you are training to get into the SAS, congratulations on completing week 7, unlike others you don't seem to be enjoying the course.
For the remainder of the course try running a little slower than you have been up to now, drink plenty of water the day before you run and a little before you run, not long now until you graduate, it would be a pity if you gave up now, keep going, hopefully you'll enjoy the remainder of the course. 😊 🏃🏾
You’re doing a brilliant job 😃. I would encourage you to try to relax into it a little more. Maybe when you next go out for a little walk or even on a run, just notice that everyone has a different running style.
There’s so many and I truly admire them as I pootle along 🤩. I admire the slow and steady and the fast flowing. I often say wow! 😃 But...they are THEM and I am ME.
The art to me is in finding your own style and comfort. The tips do help a lot of people. But I also found it can lead to too much thinking, judging and trying to do something else with your body.
Trying to get it ‘right’?! What happens if you don’t feel you did ‘get it right’? (Whatever that means! 🤷🏽♀️) You’re the judge, jury & executioner, when here’s the thing....every run, YOU run...YOU ran! ✅ It’s a WIN! 🏅 Honestly, it really is as simple as that!
I had and still have a lot of fun on my runs. I have fun because I’m learning about MY runs. I’ve laughed at myself very often. And I mean that 😃. But I’ve completed every run, finding MY way. Without that, it would have been very difficult to stay the course. Let go and run your own way.
Have a look at some of Oldfloss’s posts. She’s Admin in the group and is an amazing inspiration to us all! Her mantra is slowly...slowly and more slowly. I adopted her snail approach 🐌 and played a game with myself while I outdoors was, which was...how SLOW could I go? It was a mindset game changer for me.
I found my own mantra during the programme too...’Out there...don’t care’! That was my comfort and I was able to just run without requirements. Enjoying being outdoors. Feeling free to just get lost in MY style of running!!
Onwards and upwards! You’re on well on your way, on track. You can do this AND have fun! 😃❤️
Thank you very much Fabulous 450 , appreciate the positive feedback and will try to find what I’m happy with when I run ! To be honest I have subconsciously been trying to do that but don’t seemed to have found my own rhythm yet so I don’t have to engage my mind to not give up but push on as failure is not acceptable! I’m starting week 8 on Thursday/ Friday so I will see how it goes and look up Oldfloss’s posts !
Heavy legs often indicate inadequate hydration, ( don't I know it!)
Drink plenty the day before you run, for me that means water on the way to work, and on the way back = 500mls✅
A bloody big mug for my tea gives me an extra 150mls per drink ✅
Then I have pretty much replaced alcohol with another bottle of water in the evening ✅
These changes get me to a minimum of 2 litres, and it does make a difference.
Regarding the enjoyment....acceptance. Accept that if you run slower the run will be easier, but then you may get bothered by your pace or distance.
I always enjoy the feeling after the run, and after 2 years have found that I run for me, dropping down a gear makes the runs much more pleasant.
For example my recent runs have been 16 minutes peak effort as opposed to 24 minutes peak effort, with only a couple of seconds added onto the running pace overall.
You're doing brilliantly.
