Two days ago I went out for a run. I was feeling good so upped the pace and maintained it. Just before the end if the running I was blowing a bit then felt light headed. I wasn't far from the end but I stopped running. I recovered quite quickly then had my usual five minute walk home. A classic school boy Error, running too fast and having not taken on enough water in the day leading up to the run.
I wasn't taking any chances today. I set off for a nice easy paced longer run. A way of testing myself and restoring some confidence. I maintained a pace that meant I was never out of breath and so it was a test of my legs. At the ending was pleased with the distance covered and the length of time I was able to run.
Stretched when I came home. All in all a good, and importantly, an enjoyable run.
I ran on my latest route. Back to the hills in two days time.
