Thank you Old Floss

So I have been following the couch to 5k having returned to running after a gap of about 4 years. I gave up smoking and have unfortunately gained some weight. My job is extremely stressful and I have really missed the buzz I got from running so I decided to tackle my fitness and then my weight. Like many others I was looking ahead to week 5 with dread - the thought of running 20 minutes seemed impossible. Luckily I came across this group and read the great info from Old Floss. I also then looked up Japanese slow running and even though I thought I was going slowly, I decided to try and take it even slower tonight. I was meant to be rubbing 8 minutes, walk 5 and run a further 8 but to my delight I felt so good tonight I just kept going and managed 21 and a half minutes. I think I could have kept going but conscious I didn’t want to over do it and do some damage. Anyway I am over the moon and so looking forward to returning to being able to run 5k.
