Another Glorious day in the North East, still not had a wet run, yet! Supposedly cooling down from tomorrow! Happy with my run today! Pace & breathing seemed good & felt stronger towards the end! Big test coming up on Monday! Hope I’ve revised enough! 🤞Well done to my daughter, she managed the 20 minute non stop run, today! Proud Dad! ❤️
Week 6 Run 2 ✅ off!: Another Glorious day in the... - Couch to 5K
Week 6 Run 2 ✅ off!
You’ll love the wet runs when they come!
Glorious day indeed... one awesome runner ticking off the last intervals of the plan, and another beating that big non-stop running milestone... I’m assuming that’s what you mean by glorious, the weather’s not bad either!
Have a great day feeling super proud of yourself and your daughter.
Happy running guys.
Thank you for your kind & encouraging words! Enjoy your weekend!
Hi we might overlap on our runs! I run past Nunsmoor,Barrack Rs,Town Moor then Leazes Park circuit 😀🏃♀️
Hi, yours sounds like a nice route! I need to change mine, now I’m going to be just running from now till the 🏁 Do you run across the moor? I’ve mapped a couple of 5k routes! I’ve got Wk 6/3 on Monday, I’m going to run to Blue house R/bout, then turn back, see how that goes! I got part way there on the 20 min run on Wk 5/3! How are you finding the plan?
Hi am starting to enjoy the feeling of actually doing it and progressing ! I think it's easier to run ( slow jog for me) than stop start. I cross the moor on the bit immediately adjacent to Leazes Park where all the cows are ! I either enter park by Barrack Road across from Esso or by the steps further up Barrack Road and then do that bit of Town Moor. Have only been running in that area or round by the stadium and into park that way. Am better on smoothish paths rather than grass. Not thinking about 5k yet - denial head on !! You are much faster than me so you might shoot past a red-faced non sylph like Scot with grey hair on your route 😀 attempting to say hello!!
Ps Park is beautiful with lots of ducklings and wildlife just now!
Ha ha! If your running them hills, your doing ok! Im Just amazed how much I’m enjoying the challenge! I cycle a bit & about 4 years ago I had my bikes off the road for repair & I was wanting to do something, so I went for a run, not having done any since school cross country! I managed to run 3 miles, got home & could hardly walk for 3 days!
The experience put me off the thought of running for a long time, down to my total lack of experience & preparation! This couchto5k plan is definitely the way to start!
I usually run with my grey Mercedes cap!, deffo say hi if you see me, but I’ll not catch you up them hills! Just sticking with slight gradients for now! Well done on getting to where you are in the plan! Enjoy your weekend!
Thank you!! Hills are an opportunity to go even slower ( if that's even possible!!) The app is definitely a good way of seeing progress gradually - possibly the only positive thing for me during the Covid restrictions- would have found it difficult getting time to do this going out to work ! Enjoy your weekend too 😎🏃
