Run to beach

My first week 8 run. Rewarded myself with a run to the beach in Red Wharf Bay. Only a couple of dog walkers - lock down still holding. Amazing conditions. Slightly downhill, sunshine and a slight breeze. Thought I’d struggle but the worst part was the walk home.

Was it difficult to run on the sand?

It is different from tarmac. I kept to the wet san but your feet do sink in a bit so it does sap your energy. Most of my run was still along pavements.

I’m thinking of having a nice cold non alcoholic beer for my first 30 min run!
