Sorry about your hip, perhaps you ran a little too fast, have a extra day off in the hope you're hip pain goes, then run run 3 of week 2 a little slower than you did today, also drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

Take a few days extra rest before your next run, and maybe Google “hip stretches for runners” (but take it easy/gentle with any stretching).

Sore hips with running can be caused by a muscle weakness elsewhere - so, it could be well worth your while to start doing a little strength work on your glutes, hips and core. I used to suffer with sore hips, but since I have been focussing on strengthening two times a week, I have not had any trouble!

Did you know we have a Strength and a Flex forum here? Great for ideas on strength work for runners.

Hope the hip feels better soon. 🤞
