Well week 2 done but still cannot day I’m even jogging. I just walk really fast and find that a nightmare. My calves still scream I’ve done loads of calf exercises on my day off. Dynamic stretch before I go out. Will I ever be able to even jog let alone run should I carry on to week three or just stick at week two till I jog if ever. Really wondering if this can be done. My fast walk is probably what my fit husband would call his warm up !! No weight lost either 😢😢
Any advice folks ? Anyone else feel fat and defeated ?

Jogging and running are based more on an action than on speed.
To run or jog you need both feet to be simultaneously off the ground on each stride, otherwise you are just walking. It is possible to run on the spot, which illustrates that it is not about speed.
Do you stretch immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, which pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow? These are more important than pre run stretches in my opinion.
What is your hydration like? As a runner you need to drink 2.5 -3 litres of fluid each and every day, running or not, as mentioned in the guide.
You are making progress, so stick with it. Practice running on the spot to develop the action and don't worry about speed or compare yourself to others.
I drink loads if water with a slice of lemon. Drink it all day no caffeine. I’ll check how much I drink but I would imagine 2 litres at least.
Ok so running in the spot coming up !! Mind it will be slow slow almost stop I think. Never have been able to run so no change there in my life yet. Should i progress or stick at week two ? What do you think ?
Try a higher instep trainer as your probably used to waking in a heel neen if only an inch or so. I can’t do. I trainers yet and I
Run in soft chest boots with air in the heels 8 quid in a cheap store as they are comfortable to run in. As you progress into the course change to a running shoe that suits. My shop asked me for photos of my toes shape and the I step and the Achilles from the back to get my shoe correct
