I started having some issues after c25k, I had a sharp pain in the side of my left ankle, it would disappear immediately when I started walking, and only appeared after 28 min running (it was really annoying it was so accurate!!). I learned to tie my shoes (almost 40yo!!) And the pain disappeared completely... In the process, I tried done elastic shoe laces, that also helped though at the end in back to normal laces

What shoes are you wearing?
It is easy to knock or turn an ankle without really noticing and for the effects to only appear a few days later.
If it is really painful, rest and possibly cycle, which keeps joint mobile and improves blood flow which aids repair without heavy loading.
