Woke up just before 5 and decided to go for a run as soon as it was light. Work however had different ideas and I was called out 5 mins after waking, so had to wait until I finished...
Off out at 3pm into the rain, 8 mins into the run I was nearly flattened by a van driver not giving me space (despite my day-glo orange waterproof jacket), I had to turn sideways to not be hit by the wing mirror... After he had passed I of course used the universal sign language for "you drink Nescafe" (oldies like me will get it), and turned round to find I had drifted into the middle of the lane, with a small fiesta behind it stopped waiting for me to get out of the way. That'll teach me to just let it go in future.
Finished without any further drama, still getting used to keeping a consistent pace, but I am managing to get the end of the run in time with me coming to the end of my stamina for now. This was the first 25 min run, so I could not push for the last 60s, more like 20, but I'm sure it will come.
BUT... Runner!

Apart from that incident with the van you enjoyed your run today, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards to week 7, hopefully without any incidents from van drivers.
I have my 6.3 run tomorrow; I’m looking forward to not having the intervals from here on in, sometimes they throw me off the rhythm I find to begin with. (I will probably regret saying that tomorrow and be crying for a walk break) Well done on becoming a runner - hope I’ll join you soon!
