Week 7 nemesis!

W6R3 I somehow managed to pause the app just after half way and didn’t realise for at least a further 10 minutes when I wondered how much longer I had left, I carried on to a point beyond where I normally finish running(same route each time) and managed to set myself a new PB by the tracking app so was rather pleased with myself, still felt good after warm down and recovered well. Into week 7 with the same run and I’m struggling at about the 20 minute mark, has happened twice now. First 15 minutes feel really good no problem but it feels like I run out of energy, no aches or pains little bit breathless but nothing major. Only issue is that part of the route is a sun trap with no breeze and feels several degrees warmer! Will try again in 2 days time b

The heat definately makes runs harder!

I also think that as the runs get longer, we have to make sure we stay mentally strong and ignore those 'gremlins' which start to nag at us! Maybe find a good mantra to repeat to yourself - 'I am strong', 'One foot in front of the other', 'I've got this!' are a few I have used over the years!
