Music!

clairelouiserunner profile image

I completed W2R3 this morning (having run Week 1 and Week 2's run more than three times to ease myself in!) and I had music playing whilst I ran today - My goodness what a difference it makes! I would recommend using music to anyone who just needs that little extra push and to make running a little more fun, and to take your mind off the actual running!

Hey I completed w2 r2 today too! 😀 I was just thinking I need music for my next run, but not sure how to do it with the NHS app 🤔

Hi Sammi!

Just start playing your music and then go back to the C25K app and press play. Your music volume will reduce automatically when your trainer starts talking, and then increase again when they’re not.

Hey! How are you finding W2? Lockdown has us all running and getting fit right?!

So, it took me a while and a lot of research and faffing to figure the whole music thing out! I have an android phone, and I had to do the following:

1. Run the C25K App first

2. Then play music using my android phone music app

3. If you try to play the music first and then the C25K app, it just wont work. However, once working, the music automatically goes quieter whilst your C25K person speaks - Its great!

Let me know if you need any more help getting this set up and good luck! x

Thanks Claire! I'll give that a go next time 😊

I originally started the c25k because I'd signed up to race for life this summer, but injury and then illness put me out of action so I've not run since February! Really enjoyed today's run tho and excited for week 3! How are you finding things?
