I've just started the couch to 5k app and finished my first run. Does the app itself keep record of time it took or should I have used a separate app to record it?

I use my fitbit to track progress.
Try Strava. It’s a free app and it uses gps to show your route. It shows time and distance. There are others in the App Store depending on what phone you have
Hi,well done on starting, I have just finished week one and am enjoying it. I use a separate app from play store which keeps a track of roiue, calories etc called runkeeper. This store every runs statistics.

The app does handle all your timings so you don't need another app for that. However, it does not track your distance, and as others say, there are many free tracking apps and some are mentioned in the guide.

Hi, I use MapMyRun as it is pretty easy to use and records all runs walks etc with time distance and pace if that interests you. It is free too so that’s good 😬
