3rd week run 1

Just completed run 1 in week 3 and found it tough.

When it's time to run the 3 minutes I'm doing a really gentle jog, literally just above walking pace, has anybody got any advice on this week or is this a predominantly tough week to crack?

Did same run about two hours ago. First 3min interval made me really feel my calves and doubt whether I'll actually manage, but as the second 3min interval came and went I could have just easily continued. It was just a bit faster than a walking pace. I can only think that I didn't really warm up enough beforehand.

Best of luck anyways!

Yeah, let's hope for the best and see! Surely, we should be able to do it 😁

If you are doing a light jog, then you are following the instructions and doing the recommended pace........no need to go faster.

Each run prepares you for the next and after each week you will be ready for the next one.

Trust the plan.

Believe in yourself.

Well done for getting this far. The thing is, the programme isn't always easy and some runs can feel challenging. But if you complete each session, then you're getting tougher and more resilient. Sometimes an easier run follows a challenging one! Good luck.

Just completed week 3 run 2. I really struggled with run 1, mainly my breathing, but tonight was much better. Didn’t think I could go any slower but I managed to somehow and it made a world of difference. Plus I slightly changed my route to make it marginally flatter. Good luck with run 2 x
