Bonjour week 9!

Just plain old delighted that I've persevered and got this far. Others may say it's got to do with being bloody-minded, but this time I'll take it as a compliment.

I'm getting to about 3.5km, so with one eye on what to do when week 9 is over, I'd be grateful for thoughts on how to reach the heady heights of 5k. Run faster, for longer, or aim for a bit of both?

Thanks as ever. Enjoy the sunshine 🌞 πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Bloodymindedness is definitely the number 1 attribute for c25k! Get that champagne on ice. πŸŽ“

This is something I'm aiming for too, just cant manage to do 5k in 30 mins. Want to get to this point before I start signing up to things!

I think the statistic for graduating at 5k in 30 minutes is something like 10%, so don't worry about it. Concentrate on getting miles in your legs before speed, it will pay off in the long run (no pun intended 😁).

I graduated in November and my PB is still 32 minutes , but I can run 13k, which I love to be able to say because I never thought I would! (But then I am quite elderly. πŸ‘΅πŸ˜‰)

Good luck πŸ‘
