As I reach the end of week one with Easter looming I was reminded today of Jesus’ struggle to the peak of Golgotha in his crown of thorns and crucifix on his back as I similarly dragged my Adidas cap and iPhone to the top of the gruelling Crowborough Beacon.
I guess I slightly had the upper hand, since I doubt that the Messiah had Nike Air sandals and a moisture wicking Turin Shroud. So much for omniscience.
Nonetheless, what we had in common was that we were both close to death at the end.
I now have my 2 days rest, Jesus has his resurrection.
What I could also do with, is F1 Mercedes offering one of their new CPAP devices to all C25K runners, especially those running up Crowborough Beacon! Week1 gaspingly finished.
