Hands and face tingle/go numb when I run for a long time. Also feel dizzy sometimes.

Hello, I’ve just finished week 5 day 3 but this happens pretty much always when I run for a long time. I don’t really mind the numbness but sometimes I feel so dizzy it scares me and I have to force myself to keep going. As soon as I enter the cool down walk the dizziness and numbness disappears.

I had a banana and a toastie (I know, not healthy) 40 mins before my run today, so I don’t think it’s me not getting enough food? I make sure to drink water as well. I have no illnesses/conditions either. What can I do to make this go away?

I have never heard of this as a side effect of running.

Was it a one off or does it always happen?

Enjoy your journey.
