Buying shoes online

Hello, I've moved to week 4, I had intended to get a better pair of shoes and get gait analysis etc, but that's no longer possible. And suggestions for good shoes to order online- I have wide feet. My daughter is also looking for a pair.

Bit difficult at the moment. If you think you can't wait until the lockdown is over, I'd buy a basic reasonable pair of supportive shoes in a sale, and splash out when you can get back to the shops. Have a look at the sale section of sportsshoes.com. Buy a size larger than you normally wear. I've never used their returns, but I'm told they're pretty efficient, in normal times at least.

Asics have a reasonably wide toe box, but read up on the features of each shoe.

Good luck

Hi Speedy 60, can’t find the original post you wrote for a similar question so thought I’d just add to this one. Just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to you for two bits of advice you gave! 😀 As a total novice I had no idea I could use trail shoes (as I run on grass) and therefore wouldn’t need gait analysis. Great news in the current times! My baseball boots weren’t cutting it any more and was about to finish week 3, so I was worried about injuries. Also I’m on a pretty tight budget and you flagged up the SportsShoes.com website. Managed to get a pair of Saucony trail shoes (half size up) reduced from £84 to £42! 48hr delivery and fit perfectly. 😀 So thanks so much for your post, really, really appreciated it. About to start week 4 with renewed confidence! 👍🤩🌈🏃‍♀️

Hi, glad you've had good service from sportsshoes.com. It's always slightly difficult recommending somewhere because you then feel a bit responsible. I got a half price pair of Asics, arrived within 48 hours and I'm very happy with them.

I don't run trails, so I don't know much about trail shoes, just that they're out there. I hope yours work for you. Still take it easy getting used to them.

Good luck 👍

Will do, thank you! 😀👍

I followed some kind of sizing guide on Brooks' Running website and miraculously, the pair I ordered fit perfectly.
